On December 12, 2024 Quaker Voluntary Service held a Supporters’ Briefing to update our community about the Summer Leadership Lab. Last year, the board discerned to shorten the Fellowship program to 9 1/2 months, creating an opportunity to pilot a summer program. Made possible by the Tyson Memorial Fund, we have officially launched the Summer Leadership Lab and the application is live. Learn more about the program by watching the recording of the Supporters’ Briefing below.
Special Highlights
During this Supporters’ Briefing, Hilary Burgin (she/her; Executive Director) and Mike Huber (he/him; Director of Program) shared a brief update on the Fellowship Program, including recruitment numbers, site placement partners, and updates on other recent program shifts. The second part of the program was dedicated to sharing more details about the Summer Leadership Lab. We invite you to visit the Summer Leadership Lab webpage, explore the FAQ, and read the position description for more information. We also share ongoing updates in our E-newsletter (click here to subscribe!).
In the final portion of the program, we invited attendees to ask questions or share reactions to the new inititative. If you couldn’t make it to the event, we still want to hear from you! Reach out to [email protected] with any questions or comments.
We hope you will watch the full recording, but if you would like to jump to a specific section of the event, we provided timestamps to the right. Thank you for supporting the work we do at Quaker Voluntary Service!
